 "As a child, I remember often re-designing my own bedroom, always looking for a new look and more efficient ways to use the space. It never occurred to me that I was "re-designing". I've always been passionate about creating living spaces that are both functional and harmonious and now I can use that passion to help people enjoy coming home each and every day!"    - Melanie

Melanie has combined both her love of re-design and 10 years of Commercial Construction to working in the Real Estate Staging /Re-design Industry.  After receiving an ASP Certification by Barb Schwarz of www.stagedhomes.com in 2003,  she started her own business as "I Design Spaces".   She  founded and was President of the San Jose IAHSP (International Association of Home Staging Professionals) to develop, refine and combine business ideas with local Stagers. She  has  been a member of SCCAOR (www.sccaor.com ) and also a member of HARA (www.haragroup.com ).  Melanie enjoys working in the Real Estate Industry and she finds that her true gratification comes from the challenges of creating appealing spaces under any time and budget given.  I Design Spaces is also now affiliated with the newly formed: Stagers Collective (www.stagerscollective.com ) which brings together a group of individual staging companies to form a "staging community" that help each other by combining resources & sharing business ideas.  She finds that it is a great way to enjoy and stay on top of things in the industry.

Melanie is a strong believer that every home needs to recieve custom treatment. With that, she means that each home goes through a proven system that she has learned and continues to modify it with the demands and needs of the current market.  Each home is  laid out according to what will create the best flow and look - no "cookie cutter" homes.   Melanie is straight forward, efficient and professional.  She takes pride in what she does and everything is done for a reason with a “win-win” attitude!
